La Plage Resort

Stayed 3 nights. Has good access to the beach. Overpriced (doesn't include breakfast) - The rooms are okay. The property looks great from the outside, what's inside doesn't justify the price though. Mattress is hard, there's no bed frame, just concrete. The sofa is rock hard. The glass doors don't close completely so lizards and mosquitoes get in. - would have been better if they could provide kayaks/sup boards or other beach equipment, given that they are a beach front resort and they have a beautiful beach and maybe the rest of their shortcomings could be overlooked with that experience. Had seen quite a few resorts provide them free of charge for their guests. - The kitchen closes at 8pm. - They can improve their service a lot. With room cleaning, they only remade the beds and didn't clear the bin/change towels/provide drinking water until asked. - Their reception will not have staff most of the time, they may be found at the bar. - It would be nice if the front desk staff were a bit more helpful. Had an issue with payment through credit card as their machine didn't work, which was not fixed throughout the 4 day stay and I didn't have enough baht in hand at check out. When asked if there's any other way, instead of being helpful, the staff just shrugged off and started behaving rudely. When asked where I could exchange or get money from, he just seemed uninterested to even talk or hear me out. Could have at least offered a ride to an exchange or just with solutions. Then I had to suggest if they will accept dollars and he checked with his boss which worked. David, the younger guy at the bar was super helpful. Great potential with the place but is wasted when service doesn't justify the price.

We truly enjoyed our stay at this location. The entire staff was exceptionally friendly and made every effort to fulfill our needs. The hotel room was spacious, comfortable, and immaculately clean throughout our entire stay. The daily breakfast was delicious and always fresh, and we thoroughly enjoyed lounging at the gorgeous pool and beach facilities. It was particularly convenient that the hotel was centrally located, allowing us to easily explore numerous beaches, restaurants and other attractions. One example of such excellent service was our convenient booking of a scooter prior to our arrival, which was readily available for us as soon as we got there. What truly set this hotel apart, however, was their outstanding level of service. Prior to our arrival, we were able to easily book a scooter that was ready for us upon arrival. After we left, we realized we had left a pair of shoes behind, and the hotel went above and beyond in arranging for their return via ferry to Koh Samui. These small gestures truly made us feel cared for and valued as guests, and we cannot recommend this hotel more highly.

Stayed at this place recently for 4 days and had the best time here in our whole trip of 10 days in Thailand! Mr Jody the owner was so cooperative and helpful right throughout the trip. He also provided us some extra services based on our requests and was very friendly. They also host day shift parties and their pool is fun and also their service. All of their staff at the bar and restaurant are fantastic and ensure that guests have a great stay!
